Self cleaning ovens question?

Deangelo Marchak: I'd use an SOS pad or another scrubbing pad and then a multipurpose or oven cleaner. Personally, I use ecosential oven cleaner and it works great, but any other oven cleaner should do.

Providencia Serpe: Try this...http://www.housecleaningcentral.com/en/cleaning-ti...I always opt for a good scrub with water and an SOS pad for the shelves. http://www.ehow.com/how_2058749_clean-oven-racks.h...

Jade Ohno: I just use an oven cleaner you get at the store if my self cleaning oven leaves spots and things. :O) Hope this helps.

Patrick Bitsui: If the shelves are made of stainless steel, you can use vinegar to clean them and remove the spots left, but if it's made of ordinary tin then you can use lye solution to remove the spots and stains.

Justin Casten: The spots should just be ash. The clean cycle literally burns the residue inside your oven and turns it to ash, which can be wiped up or swept out.As for the grills, about the only thin! g that I know of that will clean them is an abrasive cloth and liquid detergent.
