Emilie Santmyer: The answer to that depends on the school or institution offering financial aid. Many schools will automatically deny aid on charges being filed. Others will wait until final determination of the case in court. There are simply too many fully qualified applicants for financial aid for payors to give aid to applicants or current recipients involved with drug charges.
