Libby Berkovitch: The Sling Box receiver is a good suggestion. More info about that can be found here: http://www.tvasap.com/DishNetworkViP922.html . In theory, you can conenct the output from your Dish receiver to a TiVo and record whatever you want and then move it to another room. The problem with that is that it would take a long time to do, since you'd have to play each recording from beginning to end while the TiVo recorded them. In other words, 100 hours of shows would take over 100 straight hours to transfer. You'd also have to set the TiVo's timers manually and set it to record from channel 3, or something like that. Very complicated. Huge pain in the you-know-what. An easier option would be the SlingLoaded receiver, like the other person said. The 922 can do so many wonderful things. Not only could you watch TV in the other room, but just about anywhere you go if you have a supported device. Check out the site I mentioned earlier for all the details o! n it. Another option would a a Pocket Dish device. They're pretty sweet too and only $99 on Amazon. Here's a link to it. Hope this helps.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GZHAAC/ref=as......Show more
Chanda Wittwer: Tivo is not really the best choice for satellite TV, since Tivo has no built-in satellite tuner. You need a slingbox from Dish. It allows you to stream your recordings anywhere you want.
