Such practice can apply to any traditional pay TV platform (which includes pay satellite providers).The pros, are that it can give the customer choice, but usually at a higer unit cost for that choice. For TV subscibers with a small choice, it can save money for the subscriber.The cons are it may not make as much money for the provider, or the other channels a subscriber opts ! not to choose, and lesser channels that are not strong enough to stand on their own, could fail....Show more
