Jonathon Labonne: What is really funny is that while I was reading your question, the advertisement on the side of the screen was for Geico, and had a big picture of the lizard!Anyway, do yourself a favor. DO NOT buy your car insurance online. This pretty much rules Geico out. The reason is simple. You don't know what you're doing. Agents go through lots of training and have to be certified by both the state and their company that they know what there doing enough that they can recommend what kind of coverage you need. Yet you can go online with no idea of what you're doing and make that decision on your own? To me, that makes NO SENSE. I am an agent, and I carry great insurance. I once went online to get a Geico quote. They asked what kind of coverage I have, and I told them. When it gave me a rate, all it said was "Congratulations, you can save $XXX on your car insurance. Click here to sign up." What it did NOT tell me, was that they completely stripped dow! n my policy to a pile of crap. I really feel sorry for people who buy insurance online and then have to use it one day. Thats how they find out that they have crappy coverage, and they're now responsible for thousands of dollars in damage. But hey, they did save 15% in 15 minutes, I guess....Show more
