Sammy Tabatt: Well you mention two different things . Art theory and names of artist,which is art history. Anyway there are a number of websites that you can find by typing in "art theory",which can be a dull read, or the names of artist,art movements,periods in art,styles,etc. A good art history book will also provide you with the same information.
