Jade Ohno: Liberal arts describes a broad assortment of courses, generally centered in the arts and literature. Most colleges would also require some science and math in that curriculum. The University of Michigan has a College of Literature, Science and the Arts. I've been thinking about it for fifty years, and I have not found any course that is taught in college that wouldn't fall into one of those three categories.Studio Art would fall in the liberal arts category.If you're going to spend four years in college and a quarter-million dollars for an education, I would advise you to find something that will pay you an income once you get out the other end.
